Founded in 1988, Sunten Electric Equipment introduced advanced technologies and equipment from overseas to the domestic dry-type transformer manufacturing field. After 23 years of development, we have become one of the biggest dry-type transformer manufacturers in the world.

As a professional manufacturer, we can turn out 10,000MVA of high-quality electric equipment in dry-type transformers, 3,000 pad-mounted transformers, 1,000 package substations, 5,000 HV and LV switchgears, 1,500Mvar of dry-type reactors and 1,000 grounding systems yearly.
Products Widely Being Used in Famous Projects
Our products are widely and regularly operating in a lot of famous projects in China like People’s Congress Hall, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, TGP, Dayawan Nuclear Power Plant, Pudong International Airport, Talimu Oil Field, Guangzhou Subway, Eastern Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai F1 Circuit and Intel (Chengdu) A7T7 Project as well as abroad including Teheran Subway (Iran) and Dewa Annual Transformer Purchasing in the UAE. We have already provided more than 60,000 dry-type transformers.
Achieving $366 Million Sales Turnover
Through our hard work, we were awarded by the China National Science Committee as the “National High & New Technology Enterprise”. Since 1992, we have achieved the biggest domestic sales market share in dry-type transformers. In 2008, our sales turnover achieved $366 million. In 1993, the “Guangdong Provincial Urban Power-Network Electrical Equipment R&D Center” was founded based on us. This R&D center does not only have advanced and complete R&D and test facilities but also a lot of human resources for R&D and designing. In December 2001, a postdoctoral workstation was set up in this R&D Center to support “SVC” new products R&D.
Reaching a Brand New Managing Level
The application of MRP/ERP system in 1996 showed that we have reached a brand new managing level. All processes including contract management, material purchasing, storage management, product designing, manufacturing, delivery, service and financial management are fully controlled under the IT network system. The MRP/ERP system also helped us tremendously to use our resources efficiently, decrease product costs and promote products completely.
Passing International Standards and Certifications
We constantly carry out overall quality control system. In June 1995, we passed the ISO 9001 by the British Standard Institution (BSI) and Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). In 2001, we passed the ISO 9001 for 2000 version. We also focus on environment protection and in November 2002, we passed the HKQAA ISO 14001.
